In 1999 the Centre opened it's doors to the public for the first time offering the RSA/OCR Diploma course to five people.
Now 8 years on, the CDC has had hundreds of learners through it's doors successfully completing their chosen courses.
Many have attended formal award ceremonies at places such as; Ulverston Coronation Hall and the Abbey House Hotel. The remainder have enjoyed various social nights and parties all of our own....
Who could ever forget the very first "Quiz Night" held in the CDC during the 'festively cold' Christmas period?!! Or the recent "Alternative" Race & Quiz Night !!
Social get-togethers now form part of the 'course requirements', (or so our learners tell us!), this and various changes to the CDC and it's friendly staff over the years have gone towards making our Centre not only a place to learn new skills but to also meet new friends in lovely calm surroundings.
